020123 song A Little Ditty On Hubris

A Little Ditty On Hubris

I too can write of Icarus

And other lofty things

How fallen men’s precarious

Wan nature often brings

A muted splash so far away

And missable for sure

We’ve seen it all in our own way

To think the fall impure

And so again repeats me here

The cautionary tale

How hubris brings a hero where

His waxen wings would fail

Remember always, mind your dad

He knows how these wings work

And don’t make off the genius lad

Before you go berserk
