You Are Invited to Return

A nib from all my hearts desire of gold

The pen, it’s barrel thin, gives weight to hold

To ask you note my poems and keep reading,

Your eyes on them a great hunger feeding.

My website was so easy, yet I’m proud

And please return to hear me read aloud,

To think you would come back to read again

Would make for me a pleasing nod’s refrain.

Throughout the week I write, unless I shirk,

Invite you here to read poetic work,

It only takes a minute to take in

A favorite poem from yesterday when

It too was new and may yet be improved:

Go back to those before they’ve been removed,

Return, re-site, recite, your own accord

Intended for all to hear and afford

To read at leisure, and without a fee
