011123-2 sonnet I Have Two Simics Being Delivered
I Have Two Simics Being Delivered
Up to the end the sunrise wowed each day,
The poet who had lived through World War Two
And wrote that time and place in his own way
Into the poems of accolade review.
I never knew his poems before today,
His first obit I read there in the Times,
Two books from Amazon are on their way
Devoid I’m sure of any pleasing rhymes.
Still samples showed his wit was well endowed,
Engaged immediately caught my eye,
To read this guy when filters had allowed
It’s like with no review to pass on by.
It took his death for me to come to know
What I have missed and Amazon may show.
