Another Sonnet View On Penmanship
There is the issue though of maker’s mark,
Their way of making heavy pen parts meld
In balance making, wielding little work
To post the cap, feel how well it will weld.
We note the weight now carried high in hand,
The celluloid with nib now surely has
An easy way, we work it like a wand,
As easy as any pen ever was.
And yet in time their weight will wear us down,
It’s not before we’ve written down the date,
But two pages in that cramps come on, we frown
When writing feels like hauling deadweight freight.
The lighter pens are best to write forthwith
You’ll lag behind with gold, so stick with forth.
